Travel sewing kit
I have a dream. Or a fantasy even. And it involves me going on a trip where either the travelling itself or the destination involves sewing of some sort. To this end I have looked far and wide for a bag and things to go in it to take on a trip. This summer after our holiday down south I started gathering my kit. I am rather happy with everything expect the bag. I like the pattern and the idea of it. It is just too small. It is not high enough mainly. Just need to find nice fabric to make a new one.
The pictures below are for a nice little 'book' for EPP, or English paper piecing, that I quite like. It is handy for keeping some needles, scissors and the scraps of fabric and templates in it. As well as some pens etc. Pattern was in Love Patchwork and Quilting -magazines gift.
This nice little needle book is made from a kit from Mollie Makes -magazine. Had the kit packet but not the magazine (found it few days later...) so made it based on the pictures on the wrapper, and adjusted it as usual. Needles won't get mixed anymore! I had made one similar at school many moons and eeons ago from red felt. It felt a bit like going back to childhood and grade two or so.
Pillow to stuck needles. Pattern etc from Love Patchwork and Quilting.
And here is the bag I made. It is ok, but needs work and alteration. Taller bag and more spacios pockets are needed. I am a woman and still learning how to travel light ;-)
