More sewing
Here are more of my recent projects. Mollie Makes had a Red Nose Day special issue and had a pattern for 'Princess and the pea'. My girls are so big, that could not justify making a set for them. My cousin has two small girls, so I decided to make them both their own princess with enough mattresses to sink a small boat. Naturally pillow and blankets were needed too. I was surprised how much I enjoyed sewing the princesses faces by hand. Now I need a project to sew by hand :-)
The above blanket is a birthday present for my one-year-old son. The birthday krept on me all of a sudden so had three days to do it on. Squares were too simple a decision, so made a road with cars on it. Other side is blue fleece with my son's name and birth date appliqued on it.
The above car is the birthday cake for elder son's third birthday. Dis not put enough juice on the sponge so it was a little dry but got eaten to last crumb anyways!
Below is another Love Patchwork and Quilting mag project. A VERY handy sewing desk tidy with pincushion. Keeps my sewing table and floor below SO much tidier!!
